Your First Visit
It all starts with an appointment. Where required we are happy to liaise with your medical practitioner or specialist to gather the information so that we can provide you with the best possible care for your osteoporosis treatment, osteoporosis prevention or bone health plan.
At your first appointment, you will see our dietitian, exercise physiologist and our DXA technician to establish the following:
- Your bone health care needs, current issues and relevant conditions;
- Your specific bone health goals;
- Your current calcium intake;
- Your bone mass;
- Your current level of health and physical functions; and
- A 12 month plan to manage your condition.
It is best to call us on (07) 3391 5510 to explain the many options available to you, as most of you will be covered by Medicare.
Keeping it Simple
Previously, most patients with osteoporosis have had to keep track of different doctors, specialists, radiographers, physiotherapists, dietitians and exercise physiologists in an attempt to fully manage their bone health. All those appointments and fees are time consuming and costly – neither of which the majority of people have in abundance. In a novel model of bone health care, The Bone Clinic brings together most of those providers and services under one roof. Less cost. Less time. Less inconvenience.
Appointments with in-house providers will depend on your individual needs.
Keeping You Safe
We provide inclusive care from physical evaluation, to practical treatment, including bone density tests (DXA scans), fully supervised exercise programs, dietary guidance and ongoing education.
We employ both ESSA accredited exercise scientists and exercise physiologists who will supervise and manage your
You are assigned your own AEP who is responsible for your progress and keeping you safe.
